There are also good sports facilities in Glasgow for participants, and these include golf courses, tennis courts, badminton courts, swimming pools, fitness centres and gymnasiums.

Glasgow's Celtic Football Club are an important football team in Glasgow and have won a number of important games, including the Scottish League Championships.

This large Glasgow stadium seats over 50,000 and regular tours of Glasgow's Irbox Stadium take place every Sunday. Glasgow's Queen's Park Football Club was founded in 1867 as Scotland's first official football club. Although they are actually an amateur football club in Glasgow, their home ground is Scotland's National Football Stadium in Hampden Park. This important Glasgow football stadium is where many of Scotland's international football matches are held and seats over 50,000.

Other attractions at Glasgow's AMF Bowling sports centre include a restaurant, a bar and music. The AMF Bowling sports centre is located in the West End of Glasgow, within easy reach for Glasgow's Finnieston train station.
